Family Violence Counselling at RM Therapy

Support at your pace with safety and choice

If you have experienced family violence, it can affect how you feel, relate to others and manage everyday life. You do not need to explain everything at once to ask for support.

RM Therapy offers individual counselling that takes time to understand your experiences, what feels safe and what you would like help with. You remain involved in decisions about your care.

What counselling can make space for

Your clinician can support you to explore the effects of difficult experiences, understand your responses and consider practical ways to look after yourself.

The focus is guided by your circumstances and priorities.

We can discuss your support network and other services where relevant, with appropriate consent.

Counselling does not replace emergency response, legal advice or specialist crisis services.

Getting started

Safe contact matters

When you contact us, please tell us a safe way and time to respond and whether it is safe to mention RM Therapy in a message. You can ask us to avoid voicemail, SMS or email where that would create a risk.

Please avoid detailed accounts or identifying information about other people in the general website enquiry form. Our team can explain a more appropriate way to share clinical information.
