Referral information
For professionals & support networks
RM Therapy welcomes enquiries from GPs, schools, support coordinators, case managers and other professionals supporting children, young people and adults. We review the person’s needs, goals, preferences and funding before confirming whether we can provide the requested service.
Our clinic is at Suite 102, 9 Ormond Boulevard, Bundoora VIC 3083. Telehealth and other service locations depend on the clinician and type of support.
Contact our team about current availability; please do not promise a start date before the clinic confirms it.
Choose the right service
- Psychology: mental health support and psychological assessment enquiries. Identify whether the request is private, Medicare-related or a bulk-billing eligibility enquiry.
- Counselling: individual support for personal concerns, relationships and life changes. This is distinct from Medicare-funded Psychology.
- Couples Counselling: requests include clinical suitability and safety checks before joint work is confirmed.
- Family Violence Counselling: an individual support pathway with appropriate privacy and safe contact preferences.
- Speech Pathology and Behaviour Support: provide a concise description of the person's goals, communication preferences and relevant support arrangements.
- Developing funding pathways: enquire first about victims of crime/FAS, WorkCover/WorkSafe, TAC, DVA and EAP; current provider arrangements and funded appointments must be confirmed.

Information that helps us review a referral
Please use the secure referral form rather than sending clinical documents through the general Contact page. Include the person’s details, preferred contact or authorised representative, requested service, main goals and relevant access needs. Add your details so we can clarify the referral when authorised.
For a Medicare or bulk-billing review, provide the valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral through secure intake. For NDIS, provide relevant plan, funding and management details. Share documents relevant to the service rather than unrelated records.
Explain the person’s consent and any authority to refer or receive information. Referring someone does not automatically authorise access to their attendance, clinical records or reports. We confirm permissions before sharing an update.

Review & next steps
A referral acknowledgement means the information has been received. Our team will review suitability, capacity and funding requirements during business hours. We may request clarification or discuss another service before confirming an appointment.
If you need to discuss a referral, call 03 7046 4767. For general service questions, email info@rmtherapy.org without clinical attachments. For emergencies, use the appropriate emergency pathway; RM Therapy’s referral forms are not monitored continuously.
