Not sure which pathway applies? Our team can talk it through with you before you commit. Before You Begin
You deserve to understand the cost before you start.
We'll explain the likely cost, available funding and any expected out-of-pocket amount before your first appointment. The figures below may change, so we'll confirm what applies to your service and situation when you book—without pressure or unnecessary surprises.
Private & Medicare-Funded Services
Mental Health Services
If you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, a Medicare rebate may reduce the amount you pay for eligible services. Ask us what may apply to you.
Medicare rebate amounts are set by the schedule and don't change with our fees, so the out-of-pocket differs depending on which clinician you see. Rebates shown are current as at 1 July 2026. Eligibility depends on your Mental Health Treatment Plan and the clinician providing the service — we'll confirm what applies to you before you book.
Diagnostic Services
Assessment Fees
We'll explain what the assessment involves, what is included and how the findings may help you before you decide to proceed.
Assessments are a private service and are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Counselling Services
Counselling Fees
Available in person at our Bundoora clinic and via Telehealth, subject to suitability and availability.
NDIS Services
Current Hourly Rates
We'll confirm how your support can be claimed under your plan and explain any agreed charges before services begin.
Rates may change when the NDIA updates its pricing. Travel, reports, non-face-to-face supports or other claimable items may apply where permitted and agreed. Current limits are published in the NDIS Pricing Schedule, which is updated each 1 July.
Understanding Your Options
Funding Pathways
Private
You can contact us directly for private support for yourself or a family member. You generally won't need a referral letter, and we'll confirm the full fee before you book.
Medicare
If you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan, you may receive a rebate for eligible sessions with a registered psychologist, clinical psychologist or accredited mental health social worker. We'll help you understand the likely out-of-pocket amount.
NDIS
We work with self-managed, plan-managed and agency-managed participants for eligible services. We'll review the relevant details with you and explain how the support may fit your plan.
How will I know which fee applies to me?
Our team will confirm the service, clinician, session fee, funding arrangement and applicable terms before your first appointment.
Do I need a Mental Health Treatment Plan?
You do not need a Mental Health Treatment Plan to attend privately. A valid plan from your GP is generally required if you wish to claim an eligible Medicare rebate.
Are Medicare rebates guaranteed?
No. Eligibility depends on your referral, treatment plan, clinician and Medicare requirements. Please confirm your eligibility with RM Therapy and Medicare.
Can fees and government rebates change?
Yes. RM Therapy fees, Medicare rebate amounts and NDIS price limits may change. Please confirm the current amounts with our team when arranging your appointment.
Are cancellation fees or other charges possible?
Cancellation terms and any other applicable charges will be explained before services begin. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change an appointment.
